Return to Silent Hill, a live-action movie adaptation of Konami’s beloved Silent Hill 2, hits theaters later this week. Early evaluations for the horror flick are as scary as any monster from the video games. First introduced in 2022, Return to Silent Hill releases on January 23. It isn’t linked to the previous two Silent Hill films, although it was directed by the primary movie’s Christophe Gans, and is as a substitute a free adaptation of the PS2-era survival horror basic Silent Hill 2. Advertising and marketing for this movie has been minimal to say the least, partially as a result of it appears the executives concerned realized it wasn’t nice again when it wrapped filming in 2023, and the film is simply seeing the sunshine of day after that current Silent Hill 2 remake did so effectively. And the brand new film has an abysmal seven p.c Tomatometer rating. For these not conversant in Rotten Tomatoes, that ain’t a terrific rating.
