The announcement of Highguard — a brand new free-to-play PVP shooter from former Respawn builders at Wildlight Studios — was meant to finish 2025’s The Recreation Awards with a bang. Since then, although, it is largely been silence from Wildlight, following the sport’s December announcement. However after weeks of deafening silence from its creators, Highguard is now displaying indicators of life: A video has been uploaded to the official Highguard YouTube account, though it is not but obtainable for viewing. Scheduled to go dwell on Monday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, the video is titled “Highguard | Official Launch Showcase,” and whereas it is not but obtainable for viewing, the thumbnail does verify one factor: Highguard continues to be scheduled to reach on Jan. 26. As for what the showcase itself will encompass, the video’s description says it can function “a full gameplay deep dive, 12 months one plans, and way more.” Provided that, up till this level, probably the most anybody has seen is the two-and-a-half-minute trailer, that feels like a number of data that might be flowing. And, fortunately, this implies one factor is completely sure: Highguard hasn’t been delayed, and gamers will see what these former Titanfall and Apex Legends devs have up their sleeves when Highguard launches on Monday. After which they’ll tune in to see what’s deliberate for the way forward for the sport. Highguard releases Jan. 26 on PS5, Xbox Sequence X, and PC.
